BREAKING NEWS: PSL SEASON 11 AS AUCTION BASED

The long-awaited franchise auction for the 2026 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is finally over. Conducted on January 8 at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad, the event witnessed the successful acquisition of two new franchises, increasing the number of teams in the league to eight. The cost for the acquisition of the Hyderabad franchise is PKR 1.75 billion, and the Sialkot-based team was bought for a record-breaking PKR 1.85 billion.

The PCB, after the franchise auction, is now gearing up for the player auction, which shapes the squads for all eight teams. For the player auction, a date needs to be announced, but the approval of the process has been given by the PSL governing council, ensuring that the teams can prepare and strategically assemble competitive rosters.
