He came from a simple background in Rawalpindi and started with tape-ball cricket in the streets, which is common in local players also in India and Pakistan. During the day, he worked in a mobile phone shop, and in the evenings, he played matches just for small payments in the flad-light tournaments. He had no professional training and had never played hard-ball cricket seriously in his whole cricketing career.

Everything was started to be changed in 2017 when he attended Lahore Qalandars’ open trials. Out of thousands of players, his raw pace stood out and attract the attentions of the selectors. When the speed gun showed 92.3 mph, it surprised everyone who were seen. He was immediately selected for the Player Development Program, trained professionally, and even sent to Australia to improve his game and got experience. What makes Haris special is his ability to perform under pressure. He is now known as one of the best death bowlers in T20 cricket due to his so clever bowling. Fakhar Zaman — The Navy Sailor Who Became a Match Winner

Fakhar Zaman’s story is all about taking risks and believing in yourself that you can do everything if you want. His father wanted him to stay away from cricket from his childhood, so he was sent to Karachi to join the Pakistan Navy. Fakhar served as a sailor and continued playing cricket alongside with his duty. With the passage of many years, he remained unnoticed despite performing well in smaller matches.

In 2013, he made a life-changing decision to leave the navy and focus completely on cricket to play for the Pakistan team. It was a risky move, but he trusted his ability. Hasan Ali — From Unknown Player to Tournament Hero

Lahore Qalandars is more than just a cricket team, it is a system that changed how talent is discovered in Pakistan. Instead of relying only on known players or international players, they focused on finding new talent through open trials in whole Pakistan. Anyone could come and show their skills, even without experience or proper equipment everyone can bring forward and can represent his county.

 In the Lahore qalandar's trials over 650,000 players took part, which shows how big this effort was. Many players came from small towns and simple backgrounds just to show their skills. Some did not even have basic gear, but they were still given a fair chance. This approach created opportunities for players who would otherwise be ignored in other ways completely.

Even though the team struggled in the early seasons, they did not change their vision and started their journey with the same passion. They trusted their system and continued working on player development rather than going towards international players. This patience paid them when they won PSL titles in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
